Help with Wiring a 4-Wire Fixed Probe to AXB

Postby Odysseus » Fri May 23, 2025 7:39 pm

Hi everyone,

I’m currently setting up a 4-wire normally closed fixed probe on my CNC machine, and I’m using the AXBB-E motion controller with UCCNC.

The probe has the following wires: yellow, green, red, and black. I’d really appreciate it if someone could kindly explain how and where to connect each wire to the AXBB-E controller.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This probe requires 2 signals to operate. There is an output circuit diagram on the e-bay page.
One output is the probe signal and the other is an overtravel protection signal.
Connect each signal to 1-1 inputs on the AXBB-E controller.
Configure the probe output as probe signal and configure the other signal in the I/O triggers or in the Faults plugin are sStop or Reset signal.

Thanks for the reply,

Does a ground from the controller need to be connected along with the probe wire at the I- terminal?

Thanks again for your help!
