Values on the Y-axis and Y2-axis

Postby lansing » Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:55 pm

Why are the values on the Y-axis and Y2-axis in UCCNC statistics are different?
The motors are JMC Nema 34 closed-loop, the drivers are identical, and the connection is set as a slave axis.
Is this normal or is mistake

If you reset them, I'd expect them to be the same or very close going forward. Those numbers represent the total movement since UCCNC was installed, whether the machine was setup or not. Lot's of reasons why they could be different.

Yes, I can reset them, but the value of Y1 and Y2 (Y and A) will not be the same, even if they are slave.
What is the reason?

The reason could be that if you have separate home switches then when the axis gets homes and sequared then the 2 sides might move a bit different distances.

OK. I really have two separate home sensors on the Y axis but why is there such a difference in value?

Because the route of one switch can be longer than the route of the other, it can be small difference, but homing them many times will add up.
Plus if you have different back-off values then that also causes a difference.
