JIT enable option?

Postby Mario Soto » Thu Nov 28, 2019 11:42 pm

Hello.
After creating a profile with its own screen set, I can no longer make changes.
I get an "Unhandled exception" error with a detail tab.
The details are about 200 lines long which would mean nothing to 99.99% of the people who read it.
At the end, it says "When JIT debugging is enabled, blah blah blah...".
It doesn't say how to fix the problem and I don't see the JIT enabler option.
Any help would be appreciated.

At the top of this long blah blah blah there is an error message. What is that?

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.
If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, it will close immediately.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index.
See the end of message for details on invoking just in time debugging instead of dialog box.

Yes, the top of the exception text is the error message.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

No, half-baked software is the problem. I, Sir, am a victim.

That there is your problem:

Mario Soto wrote: After creating a profile with its own screen set, I can no longer make changes.

If you post your profile (pro) and screener (ssf) files someone may be able to help.

I suspect you have modified a big chunk of code that was working perfectly well and now it does not work....
