Z-zero point resetting on Cycle Start

Postby Rhinokeegan » Sat Apr 03, 2021 1:59 pm

I've recently updated to the newest 1.2113 and I'm running the NEON screenset.

I'll set the tool height using a tool probe and when I hit "Cycle Start" the Z-zero point resets and the Z-axis attempts a low-earth orbit.

I've discovered that if I delete the G49 code from the beginning of the file it will not do this. This has only started since updating and unfortunately I'm not smart enough to know what has changed. The G49 has always been in all of my previous files (put there by the post processors) so I can't believe that's the problem.

I will do some more testing to narrow down the problem, but time in the garage is limited.

If anyone has any idea's on what's going on, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have a tool length offset (G43) applied when you zero the tool, and the G49 is removing that offset.
