Comments in GCODE produce wrong tool start position

Postby andrewwong2000 » Fri Jan 08, 2021 4:46 am

This one confused me for a little while!

The following command and comment works fine:

N0080 M10.2 (Post AVC On) (Part: 20200107 - Tray 1-490)

but this line causes UCCNC to start at Y = 1490mm:

N0080 M10.2 (Post AVC On) (Part: 20200107 - Tray 1 490)

Please see the attached sample GCODE files.

The only difference is the "-" in the comment.

UCCNC does not like more comments in a line, the second comment is the problem.

I have seen that as well. It seems to "find" commands to execute within the second comment.

Yes, thats true, the UCCNC really looks for the comment () only one time.
Honestly I did not think that multiple comments are placed by any CAM software, but I see now that it can happen.
So, we will fix this issue.
