AXBB-E and solenoids

Postby nitro » Thu Apr 21, 2022 1:45 pm

Hi all,

I tried to find an answer to this question but didn't.

As the Port#1 pins 2. to 8. of the AXBB-E ( isolated outputs) can drive up to 500mAmps of current up to 24Volts voltage levels, do you think I can directly drive pneumatic valves (24V, 200ma) without the use of intermediate relays?
Moreover, the manual is not clear : the 500ma is per output (so a maximum of 500x7 = 3000 ma) or the sum of the outputs as I might drive 3 solenoid valve at the same time ?

Many thanks for your feddaback !

i use the ucbb which i believe is the same output circuit.
i direct drive the air solenoids from the ucbb. no problems. i have up to 6 active at the same time in my setup.

Thanks for the feedback ! I can therefore drive directly my air solenoids ! no need of diode or anything to prevent back current or anything ?
