The current default jog increment is fine for a Large CNC router but for a smaller bed machines and especially on metal milling machine, one inch jog increment is dangerously fast and will never be used. Also, one thousand of an inch is a fine enough increment when working with wood in most cases but when working with metal, a one tenth of a thousand of an inch 0.0001” as the finest jog increment is the standard.
I realize, it’s possible to jog in 0.0001 increment by setting the field for custom jog increment but it’s not passed on to the MPG so you are forced to use the software on screen interface. I much rather use my MPG for fine tuning work offsets or tool offsets.
In the Buttons_by_number pdf file, I could find the following Button screen objects:
164 - Jogsteprate001
165 - Jogsteprate010
166 - Jogsteprate100
241 - Jogsteprate0001
I could not find a jogsteprate00001 Button screen object. I really think this is missing from the software.
But other than that I think UCCNC is a fantastic product! Keep up the great work!
