Limited Feedrate 1.2112 after and during Probing

Postby trendsetter » Sat Jan 04, 2020 8:00 am

Dear all,
I have some questions and issues with 1.2112:

- After some probing I had the issue, that sometimes the G0/G1 command is limited to 50mm/min without any reason. (e.g. Speed is set to 400 mm/min but movement is limited to 50mm/min) Sometimes it is working sometimes not. Especially in z-movement. Movement is self seems correct but then probing and milling is unacceptable slow. Any idea about that?
- In addition it is unclear to me, what the safe probe mode does. There is no explnation about it. When I activate probing macros of the 2017 woodworker screenset are not working anymore.
Maybe can you help?

When using the 2017 screenset with versions of UCCNC later than 1.2049, you may find that some things don't work correctly, as there are a lot of new controls that are not available in the 2017 screenset. So you may have controls enabled or disabled, with no way to change them. This may or may not cause problems.
This is probably whats happening with Safe Probe Mode.

From the UCCNC_usermanual.pdf in your UCCNC\Documentation folder:
Enable the safe probe mode: M213
To enable the safe probe mode program M213.
The M213 macro protects the probe sensor with generating a reset condition and hard-stopping the
machine when this mode is active and if the probe is activated while the machine is in motion.
In practice this macro command can be executed for example in the M6 macro if the tool number to
be used is a probing tool. This can prevent a probe damage if the operator accidentally cycle starts
the g-code program or commanding the machine to move and hit the probe.

Disable the safe probe mode: M214
To disable the safe probe mode program M214.

Hi all
Thanks a lot I will try with M214 regarding the safe probe.
Is there any idea regarding the limited feed rate and traveling speed. Any idea about that?

Hi all,

after some deep dive I found some adaptions necessary, where some values are written in non available text fields. This seems to that this caused the slow rates for whatever reasons.
Now it worked everything perfect.

I need to find out more about the new probing tools. But things seems in most of the situations not so quick and automized.

With the marco I had modified from the 2017 screenset it is the same way working as here starting at 1:09 with angular correction
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhZdbgM6S70
Means, bringing the touch plate in position (or metall workpcs connected to touch contact), clicking on start probing and the origin is found within one shot including G68 angular correction.

once I have some time, I will make some video.

Hi all,

I have unfortuntelly to correct me. The issue with the speed is not solved and is still unclear to me.
Basically after Probing (might be eveen before) G0 speed is limited to 50mm/min. on The other Hand, when I usee the X-box controllere it is high speed.
Seemy only thee G0 corde.
Any Idia about that?

Dear all,

I tried to get the things quite systematically, but it seems to happen randomly.
Error feature: G0 movement is limited to 50mm/s.
Occurrence: in 4 of 5 cases the G0 movement is limited after using the attached Marco. But not always.
The marco is in a way that it proves the x axis 2 times, and the y axis 2 times on 2 points each with fast and slow feedrate each.
The movement between 2 points is always fast with G0 while, when the speed limit occurs the retract speed which is also G0 is then slow.
Seems during the macro while there is a switch between G90/G91 there is some change. But I cannot reproduce it manually.
If the error occurs the file execution is also slow with G0. Manual Movement "G0 Zxx" is slow. "Zxx" in G0 mode as well. Independent of G91/G90
The speed with the X-Box Gamepad is not limtied.
G1 Movements are also fast, with no issue.

In additioan the speed limit also occured after executing one file. Means it is not only dependent on the attached marco.
Appreciate all help I can get, since this is not acceptable and the marco is one of the most usefull tools I have.

What gets G0 working at full set speed again after it starts misbehaving?

Is the FRO slider/dro value changing at some point?

Can you add a step to end of macro to force FRO to 100% and validate the value?

regards,
Eric
