Ok, finally got back around to messing with it again. Got a floating z plate, and got it configured in UCCNC correctly. For the post processor, I am using Mach 3 with thc and scriber with backlash comp. When I go to start the job, itll lower until it trips the floating z switch and instantly start (torch still touching the work piece). Where do I tell it to raise up xxx amount?

You set the pull up value in the sheetcam post.

I don't see the pull up value. Is it the switch offset?

It is path deviation tolerance setting problem in the UCCNC. This was answered on the forum several times, please search the forum or read the users manual, the constant velocity parameters description.

It has nothing to do with the post processor. or maybe it does, but without seeing your g-code file we can just guess.
