Reverse Y movement on THE screen

Postby Gazza » Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:55 am

First off many thanks to all for helping me get this far after ill health problems ...

OK after playing all day setting up the calibration ( that took some working out ) and movement in the right direction ...
I'm at my head banging bit again
( see ill health of Brain Haemorrhage so got to remember not to stress out ..yea right wrong hobby I picked ...LOL )

did all the design / cutting of lines in Art-cam and works a bloody treat .. And again all self taught over the months learning playing etc and using the SIMULATION mode .. bloody brilliant is this ..any way...

However I'm getting confused could be my age (early 60's) of the Bed movement ?
if you think of it as the bed moving arrow up ...it moves up ...and down is down .. however this goes in the opposite direction on the Y JOG BUTTONS only
Z & X movement on the jog buttons is fine up is up left is left etc

and before you say it ...I'm not swooping any wires or configuration of reverse setup as its working a treat...LOL

So my question is

just on the JOG buttons on the screen I need to reverse them ..is this task at all possible ?
load in a different Jpeg screen and re-set it ?

seen some thing about this but way over my head at the moment

Hi Gaza,

I accept that it is a bit confusing at first (you will get used to it) but the jog arrows represent the direction the cutting tool moves in relation to the work.

It moves as it should. The arrows show the Y movement relative to the workpiece. Because your gantry is fixed, the table moves, so it has to move in the opposite direction to make the spindle move correctly.

BUT is it possible to do what I ask ... saves me brain from getting confused

I can live with it ..its just that concentration at the moment is the K.i.s.s principle (keep it simple stupid)

You can reverse the positive movement direction of any axis in the Axes settings, just change the Dir signal Active low checkbox.

Just edit the screen / jog buttons and change their button code references around.
