anybody a idea?
I am looking for the runtime of the job I load into uccnc

Before I using uccnc I used Planet CNC Software with a DIY Controller. The feature I ask is included there.

You mean simulate the work? There is no such feature in UCCNC. You can do that in Mach3, but not in UCCNC. I also find it useful and used it all the time with Mach3.

yes it's exactly what i mean.

I hope it will come as a new feature in one of the next releases.
Till that time I use PlanetCNC to simulate my jobs

you can run the job in offline mode....

Won't give you the time though

That's not simulation, that's in real time, isn't it? Also, the time is exactly what is interesting.

The good thing in Mach3 simulator is that it runs through the G code pretty fast, analyzes the code and comes up with a time the job will approximately take. It is not 100% accurate but it is pretty good and useful. I don't know if that feature was what the OP was looking for, but that's how I interpreted his question.

What governs the speed of simulation?

trying to think out of the box....

make the machine offline,
Would it be possible to change the axis units via a macro by say a factor of 10 (reduce by 10 [adjustable]),
run the programme with a timer enabled, recording run time in mSec.
log the time at the end of the run cycle
multiply the time by 10 [to give a rough estimate of the simulation run time]
change all axis back to default setting
put the machine back on line.

(note, apply the axis settings changes, but don't save them so that the change is not perminant, so if you have a power down or PC crash, under restart the original axis settings are retained / reloaded)

...it would be nice and elegant if UCCNC had this feature built in. Now and then I need to simulate and in that case I must do it in Mach3.
