Laser engraving.

This ceramic wall tile was laser engraved (well not really ‘engraved’ as the image is actually embedded within the surface glaze. It will not scrape off or wash off with cellulose thinners, etc. it is permanent) and it was done using Laser mode 2 of the UCCNC laser engraving plugin.

I have been experimenting with various techniques for infusing oxides (and sulphates) into the surface glaze of tiles and have so far just mastered the black and aluminium colours. There are just so many other oxides (of differing colours) to try, I can see this little project taking some time.

Thank you CNC Drive for such a great machine control software.

Have you tried Titanium Dioxide?

I have just ordered some to give it a try.
