DRO axis calculation

Postby gabi68 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 9:16 am

Hi all,

I remember Mach3 let you to do some simple math calculation (divide, multiply,...) in the DRO field. UCCNC can do that? The reason I ask is because I need to input some values divided or multiplied based on some probe readings.

Thank you

No, you can't do math in the DROs. There is a DivideBy2 plugin here.

Hi,

That was quick, thanks. I dld that plugin copied in the plugin folder, tick call startup and enabled boxes, restart UCCNC. The plugin appear in the box, but when I try to use it same message shows up telling you to enable the plugin . Using 1.2037 in demo mode.

Verify if you can safe anything in your profile?
I mean try to change any setting save it and check if it will be like that on the next startup, because I guess that you can't save anything if the plugin enable state does not save.
And that can happen if you have your profile file or even the whole UCCNC folder write protected or the current user logged into Windows does not have the right to write to the file.

I just try your solution and did not work. You right I cant save anything. I change all permission to full. I am using a screen made it by A_Camera. Maybe there is the problem.
Any other solution?

The profile file is not written if the UCCNC can't write it.
I don't know any other solutions than to have write permission to the file.
Maybe try to run the UCCNC with admin rights, I mean right click on the UCCNC icon and run as admin to see if that makes any difference.
Also you may try to install it on another folder, on another harddrive maybe. Because it is possible that you've installed it to a directory where Windows not allowing to change the files with the permissions you have.
