constant velocity mode not working

Hi all,
Not sure why I can't get this working on long straight segments. In G86 mode but the machine stops at each segment of a large curve. And, the various settings - linear error max, etc. - are greyed out in settings. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Michael

UCCNC is not grey-ing out anything, there is not even "greyout" function in the GUI, so I'm not sure what do you mean by "greyed out".
G86 is canned cycle, so ofcourse the machine stops at the segments as it has to drill down on each G86.

Oh, I’m an idiot. I meant G64 constant velocity mode.

Increase the error tolerance values in the CV settings.

I would like to change settings in the "grey" fields. I have some recommended settings I want to try. But, when I enter a new value - say 0.005 in "Linear error max" - click [APPLY SETTINGS] and [SAVE SETTINGS] then quit and restart UCCNC, my changes are gone.

Hit the ENTER key after entering the new values.

Right. I thought I was. Having tried again, I now have the setting saved across multiple restarts.
Thanks for your kind responses to a remedial question.
Cheers!
