Using UCCNC via USB to Ethernet Adapter

I am using UCCNC to control an Axiom AR6 cnc router via an Ethernet connection from a laptop computer.
I need to replace the computer, but many new computers do not have an Ethernet port. Can I run UCCNC via a USB to Ethernet adapter.
Regards
John

Almost all mini PC's have ethernet ports, and they are only $100-$150.

Yes, you can use a USB to Ethernet adapter, but use a good one. Stay away from the cheap ones.

Use one which directly connects to the USB port of the computer and avoid the ones with USB cable, because those are much more sensitive to EMI noise.

Thanks to all for the comments.
I wanted to know it was likely it would work before laying out cash for a new computer.
I was looking at a cheap Celeron based laptop as UCCNC is not too demanding as long as you are not running thousands of lines of code.
I have found that these cheaper laptops only have usb and hdmi ports.
Ethernet ports seem to have been deleted as most things become wifi connected.
Cheers
