Windows not recognizing UC100

Postby Keenan » Sun Mar 30, 2025 11:50 am

I had an old Alienware laptop I have been using to control my homemade 3 axis mill with Mach 3, well about two weeks ago it crapped out on me, and I have no hope of the 13 year old computer coming back from the grave. I pulled the hard drives and saved everything I needed off of them.

I have another windows 10 laptop, and a new windows 11 laptop. For the life of me I cannot get either one to recognize that a uc100 is connected. I have reinstalled drivers, wiped Mach 3 and reinstalled, reinstalled all of the plugins, and I even went ahead and bought a license key for UCCNC to see if I could get it working with a different program.

The UC100 is not showing up in my device manager, the light is green on the UC100. On the board the red light from the 5v is on, and the green light from the 24v is on. But I cannot get windows to recognize the UC100, the utility scanner also says no uc device found.

If the UC100 is not showing up at all in the Windows device manager then:
- The UC100 is broken
Or
- The USB cable of the UC100 is broken
Or
- The USB port in the computer you using is not working.

I got it to work, it was the .net windows framework update that did the trick.
