UCCNC 4 times slower cutting curve than straight

Hi!

My DIY CNC can jog 6000mm/min and cut 4000mm/min. I'm running UC400ETH and UCCNC with 3A Nema23 and other electronics on 48V. Also, I have 1610 ballscrews. Problem is that when I cut curved cuts, my CNC will slow down 4 times, and when it cuts a straight line, it will go max Fset around 4000mm/min. I have UCCNC general settings running default on CV mode. I added video to youtube.

Can you post some of the code, including the curved (slow) and fast (straight) parts?

Also, can you share your axis settings? Velocity & accel settings?

The problem is that UCCNC is very sensitive to under powered machines when multiple line segments are involved. This has been discussed a lot and you may be able to get it better with your CV settings but I have tried everything in the book and nothing helps. I was running my mill today and it was doing a 1" circle at 80 IPM. The best it would do is 30 IPM. I converted the code from line segments to arcs in CAM and it had zero problems holding 79.5 IPM. If you raise your acceleration values you will see improvement but if you are under powered you will see it a lot. None of my 4 machines running UCCNC can accelerate fast enough to make line segments as smooth as arcs. Arcs are smooth as silk and very accurate but line segments not so much.

Go into simulation mode and turn your acceleration way up and if that is the problem you will see the feeds normalize. Now build a machine around those values and you are all set:)

Thank you for the fast reply. My axis are 6000mm/min velocity and 200 acceleration.

I now changed curves to arcs and gcode shrink 10x. I added gcode with the previous version and modified.

Hi,

I got it working by making all the curves to arcs. But something is still making spindle to almost stop at the centre of this arc. I don't know how to repair that, can someone check my gcode and give me help, please. Is there some CV setting that tells CNC to stop in the center of arc when it changes direction. If I have to change some settings in general, can someone give me tips on what direction do I have to change them?

Current CV settings:
Linear error max: 0.03
Linear addition lenght max: 1
Linear unify lenght max: 2
Corner error max: 0.03
Arc radius tolerance: 0.1

When you use tabs in Vectric products, the g-code actually has the tab moves at every level, so where it's slowing down, there are two short straight segments above the tabs. The only thing that will really help, is increasing acceleration, or not using tabs.

Is there any way to repair the gcode, but still use tabs?

You can hand edit it.
Take this:

Thanks for the tip!

I changed gcode like you advised, but problem is that this will change the shape of the cut. If you see tee final third tab that I removed from G3, it will go bit crooked and will not cover final cut exactly. I guess I have to try to change some settings in CV or something. But if I can't get this to work, I have to go back to Mach3 unfortunately. :(
