New bug in 1.2041, or is it just my configuration?

Postby A_Camera » Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:28 pm

Hi Balázs,

It seems that the last position and the jog feed % is not saved after exit. This is new so I don't know why. My configuration is as before, yet when I exit UCCNC those are not saved. Am I doing something wrong or what happened? Maybe the new reset and save routine is the culprit, but it is strange that nobody else has seen this before if it is a general issue.

Somethings up for sure. I just ran the machine over to the limits in X,Y and Z. Shut dow and restarted and Y and Z are still the same but X is way off.

Yes, that's what I am seeing as well. Also, in the jog panel if I change the feed rate percentage it is not saved when I shut down UCCNC. When I restart it is back to the old value. I think tomorrow I'll go back to 1.2039 again until I understand what is going on.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for finding this issue, I verified and really the saving on the application closing does not happen, it is a new bug in version 1.2041 and it is because we reworked the saving routine to speed it up and what I see is that a part of the saving routine which actually flushes the data to the profile file missing from the Save on closing routine.
I now corrected this issue and uploaded the corrected exe to our server.
Here is the download link:
The exe works only with the test version 1.2041 UCCNC: http://www.cncdrive.com/UCCNC/UCCNC.exe

My tester collegue is now on holidays, otherwise he would sure find this issue before release, now it can be seen how important his job is.

The positions are saved but the jog feed % in the jog panel not.

The jog feed % was never saved by the UCCNC. It has to be something that you saving yourself if it was saved.
So, the question is how do you save the jog feed %? By a macro? By a plugin? Or how?

OK, thanks. I was pretty sure it was saved before and not kept at the 10% where it otherwise seems to start. I have no macro for it yet, but will probably add one, or maybe add a line to the constructor macro to increase the default jogging speed from 10% to 30%.

Edit:
Just solved it by changing this line in the Defaultscreenset.ssf:

AS3jog.Setfieldtext("10", 913);

Changed 10 to 30 and now it starts with 30%...
