Probing routines not working properly after Cycle Start

Postby markcadcam » Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:44 pm

When accidentally pressing the Cycle Start button before running a probing routine will cause the probing routine to not function properly. It will take off in the wrong direction. You have to shut down the program and restart it again for it to work properly. Version 1.2113

Please, write more details.
- Is there a g-code loaded?
- Do you press stop after start?
- Which probing mode fails?
- Which axis goes where?
- How do you start probing?
And please, upload your profile (.pro) file to check.

- Is there a g-code loaded? No.
- Do you press stop after start? No. Just let it run. I have it set to move .5”
- Which probing mode fails? The 3 I use all failed. Picking up a corner, picking up an I.D., picking up an O.D.
- Which axis goes where? The Y axis always goes positive. Then maxes out the travel distance of .5”
- How do you start probing? Not sure what you mean?
And please, upload your profile (.pro) file to check. I will send it in the morning when out in the shop.

OK, the last question was because sometimes people press the lower "Probe" button, but that is not related to the probing plugin.

There are some fixes and changes in the probing plugin since the 1.2113 was released. Please, download the latest plugin version from this link. This version works only with 1.2113 and has a setting to create a log file Plugins\Probing.log. The log file is deleted on startup, so only the last results are in that. Please, reproduce the fault and also upload the log file. (If you cannot upload it, then just rename it to .txt.)

Thanks in advance.

I think I've found something. Would you please, download a fresh version from the same link and upload the resulting log file? Now I've put some more information into the log. Thanks.

See attached. I ran the probing cycle first then hit the Cycle Start button and ran the probing cycle again.
