Jog multiple axiis

Postby Zed_UCCNC » Wed Jun 24, 2020 3:02 pm

When I jog an axis, the other two axiis also move.

If I jog Y it moves correctly, but aslo X and Z move. The X and Z axiis move and return to their original position, the DRO's change readings and return to original state also. This happens for Continuous and Step. it happens for all Jog sizes( .001, .01, .1 etc).

version 1.2111, UC100, WIN10

You jog the axis with what? Screen buttons? Pendant? If pendant wired pendant or wireless? If wireless then which model?

Also post your profile file. And some further explanation of what you exactly doing would be helpful.

I press the arrow on my keyboard to jog, a USB keyboard.
see attched pro file.

This is a link to a video of what I do and what I see. When the DRO's "move" so do the axiis.

OK, my collegue Dezsoe will check this out.
Meanwhile can you install the latest development release. You can install it to a different folder just to test if the problem also shows on that version?
I'm asking this, because if it does not then it is a bug which was already eliminated.

Same problem with dev version on the PC and also a laptop WITH MY IMPORTED MACH 3 xml that was converted into a UCCNC profile.
When I make a NEW profile and enter my machine parameters I get the problem.

BUT the default profile that came with UCCNC doesn't create the bug!

There are probably a bunch of things that could be causing this, but one is popping into my head at the moment. You can rotate your coordinate system with G68 and G69 so, for example, so an X move wouldn't be purely X as far as your machine axiis go. Handy for compensating for things like a crooked vise, but can confuse the heck out of you if you don't know it's turned on.

EDIT: After watching your video, I don't think my guess is correct. The other axiis seem to be "fluttering" rather than actually moving in coordination with the X axis.

Attached is a video of another jog bug.

When I press a STEP jog button the result is the stepper moves clockwise and counter clockwise.
The video shows:
- pressing a keyboard arrow
- The stepper moving both directions
- DRO's increasing and also decreasing
