AXXB-E slave axis problems

Hello,
I am setting up a new Cnc machine for a makers space and I am noticing some really weird behavior.
When using UCCNC v1.2113 or 1.2117 and my A axis slaved to Y the gantry moves correctly in 1 direction, both A and Y move in same direction towards rear of machine with no issues. When I attempt to jog the Y towards the front of the cnc machine the A and Y axis go in opposite directions causing the gantry to twist. When you home the machine the behavior is the same.

In Mach 3 they work properly.

Make sure the direction pin is connected, and measure the voltage to make sure it's changing when you change direction.
