Postby erdem55 » Sun Jun 04, 2023 4:54 pm

Hi Guys,
I am new in here. I am a cnc machine designer from turkey.
I designed cnc lathe with mach3 turn, BUT I has a problem that is un stable threading .I controled index signal taht is right .
I adjusted port -and index time bounce :NEVERTHELESS, I do not solve that problem.
MY pc is win7 pro and setuped solidworks with solidcam.
MY setting is down.

1.) The UC100 with Mach3 syncronises to the spindle index only at the beginning of each thread pass, so make sure that your spindle speed is constant and also make sure that the spindle is already rotating at the cutting speed when the thread cutting code is executed.
Because if the spindle is still accelerating and did not reach the target speed when the thread cutting is executed then the controller will syncronise to the wrong spindle speed and as the spindle will accelerate up the pitch will be wrong.

With mach4 our plugin cannot do spindle syncronisation, so you cannot cut threads.
But you might want to try the UCCNC, we will release a lathe version soon and the current version can also cut threads, but it cuts threads with spindle encoder feedback, so you need not only index, but also incremental encoder A and B channels.
