Thanks Ger21. That worked. I got my motors to move, ran a test cut program, which it ran fine. tested e-stop, limit and home switch, all inputs triggered as they should. I put the multimeter on the outputs and entered M7 and M8 and both lit up on the board and showed 24v output as they should. So i'm feeling good until I hook up the vfd , and I am getting nothing. Any thoughts???

Wiring looks better.
However. Port and pin for spindle step & direction leave at 0, 0,.. ON BOTH. This is designed for using pulse control.

Now, first for direction control> Go to outputs. Set output#1 as Port#1. Pin#1.
Now go to spindle settings, set M3 relay as output#1., enable spindle relays.
Now M3 in MIDI will activate FOR on vfd.
That's direction done.
If it is working the wrong way round (on/off) in other words for/rev. Go to outputs> change active state low/high> now it will work the other way round.

For step (analog).
You configure the spindle PWM in spindle setting page and enable it.
Then on the AXBB-E Mach3 "CONFIGURE PLUGIN PAGE", in mach3 in the plugins menu you can attach the analog output to "spindle PWM control", then the analog output will be assigned and proportional to the spindle PWM.
You should now see voltage from A01 when Sxxxx entered in MIDI.
Now you need just to fine tune your pwm/pulley settings.

If FOR doesn't work as expected then you need a cheap 24v relay module (low trigger).
Connect:
24V+ ----------------------------- relay +
24V0 from axbb-e --------- relay -
O1 --------------------------------- relay sig
DCM vfd ----------------------- relay com
FOR vfd ------------------------ relay NO

OK you have me confused on my VFD wiring from the controller to the VFD. See my post before yours that I am quoting for the axbb-e to vfd drawing. Output 1 is going to FOR on the VFD and 24v- is going to DCM on the VFD. In wiring the relay switch, how can i put Output 1 on the power and input side of the relay and on the NC and common side as well? I have a common 24v low trigger relay with DC+,DC-, and input on one end, NO, NC, COM on the other.

Thanks

The description was for a module type relay.
Sounds like you have a SSR.
For those it's simply these on the input side of it:

24v+ to relay +
O# to relay -

Do not put any voltage itself to the vfd.

FWD / com on vfd go on the relay output side only in the relay circuit direction.
FWD to the + out com to the - out.
This ground loop carries no voltage.

This is the type of 24v relay I have. Will this work?

Yep. That's the type I use.
The left image in my previous post.
24v+ to relay +
24v- to relay -
0utput# to relay sig
Jumper low

If relay is default to on at startup:
Active low/high swap will reverse its axbbe outputs operation.

Getting nothing right now. On the vfd I have PD001 set to 1 for external start/ stop control, PD070 to 0 for 0-10V, PD002 for external speed control. Is there a setting Im missing on the VFD?

External "start/stop" may be completely different to just simple fwd/rev.
Usually find that "external start/stop" is related to on/enabled.
fwd/rev is usually related to "external control".

Have you got the plugin configured to use analog output for pwm?.
Do a couple of checks on the axbb-e first with vfd off.

1. Does relay click when output is controlled on/off and a green led operate?.
Check com/no and com/nc contacts switch along with it using a voltmeter on the buzzer setting.
2. With a voltmeter check you get a voltage reading from AO1/5V0 when a M3S15000 command is put in midi.
(I assume it's for a router yes?).

If answer yes to both of these you're missing something in the vfd. If no, there's something missing with axbb-e

Mach 3 spindle settings.PNG

Ok lets start over a second, does my spindle settings look correct to run the spindle thru Mach 3?

If using outputs 1,2,3,4 for the relays etc then yes it all looks right.
Set spindle in "motor outputs" tab to step 0 dir 0.
Set active low step dir.
That will push it to use the relays and pwm low.

Close window.
Now on the main page there should be a tab that says "configure plugin". That's where you assign the analog channel of axbb-e to the pwm.

Now when give say M3S15000 in midi you should see relay working and get voltage from A01/5V0.
It should work. Just fine tuning left to do.

If voltage is 0 at full speed setting and 10v at minimum speed setting go back to motor outputs > spindle > swap spindle step active low/active high.
If relay backwards do the same to their outputs.
outputs# > active

I have a uc300eth so I'll have look at Mach configure for it on the laptop tomoz.

configure plugin isn't on my main screen, plugin control is. When I click on it this is what appears:
