Can't edit Encoder Position in custom screenset

Postby ger21 » Mon May 29, 2017 11:16 pm

I added encoder position fields to my screen when they were first added, but discovered tonight that they are not working correctly. (2430-2435)

I don't have any encoders connected, but I can't edit the values in the fields. Whether I type it in, or use a macro:
AS3.Setfield(100, 2430);
AS3.Validatefield(2430);

In the stock screenset, I can type any value I want into the fields and they are accepted. And I can create additional fields and they work too.
But any field #2430-2435 that I add to my screenset, will not accept values.

Any ideas?
Gerry

Hi Gerry,

I think one possible issue is if you don't have the encoder counts per DROs on the screen, they are 2424 to 2429.
The issue with that is that if they are not on the screen then the value of them is 0, so the counts per encoder tick is 0, so basicly the encoder can't hold any other values than 0, because any number * 0 = 0.

I have quickly tested this idea, I set the 2424 DRO to value 0 and then the counter DROs always go back to value 0 whatever I type in as I suspected. :)

I had 2024-2029 on the screen, but I had them set incorrectly. They were at 0. I changed it so they can't go to zero, and it now works. Thanks.
