Missing configuration in UCCNC 1.2111

Postby andileibi » Sat Dec 28, 2019 10:51 pm

Please excuse my English, it is not my mother tongue.
I use UCCNC 1.2111 with my Stepcraft 840. I have recently had a laser.
According to the description, I have to change a few things in the configuration.
Amongst other things, Configuration / I/O setup / Current Hi/low port

But in the current UCCNC version 1.2111 I can no longer find this setting and without this setting the laser will not start.

Where can I find this setting?

The Current Hi/Low settings were moved to the axis setup pages. I think you have a UC100 and using a UC100 you have the same Current Hi/Low settings on all axes.

I want to try it but it didn't work.
I use UCCNC V1.2111 but with a profile and screenset from Stepcraft UCCNC V1.2006, the current hi / lo setting can be found in the I/O setup but cannot be changed.
In the Axis Setup, I can't find this setting.
Can I change the setting manually in the .Pro file? How should I do it?

OK, that screenset is old, but you can make it work.

- Find and write down the values from the old profile in section [IOsetupsettings]: CurrentHiLopinnumber, CurrentHiLoportnumber and CurrentHiLopinnegate.
- Load the new UCCNC with the old screenset (where the settings are in the I/O settings, but you cannot use them) and start Edit screen on the General settings page.
- While pressing Shift key select the I/O setup page.
- Change the pin, port and active low: click on the field and change labelnumber/boxnumber as follows. Always click Apply settings in the screen editor window after you changed the number.
- Current hi/low pin (labelnumber): old 96, new 2606
- Current hi/low port (labelnumber): old 275, new 2612
- Current hi/low active low (boxnumber): old 60, new 347
- Select File tab in screen editor and press Save screenset.

Now you can set the values that you wrote down and save settings. It should work now.

I could now set the settings for the laser and the laser also works, but unfortunately I now have another problem with UCCNC.
If I wanted to start a Gcode that would exceed the soft limits early, the program would not start with a message box that the program would exceed the soft limits.
Now the program can be started and simply stops when the soft limits have been reached. The workpiece is then broken.

You have to enable softlimit precheck on the general settings page. Hopefully, you have this option on that old screenset.

Yes, I have this attitude and it is also set.
The router also stops because of the soft limits and not because of the contact.
But only when the soft limit is reached and not by starting the program, as before.

What is more, when I manually drive an axis to the soft limit, a message box "Soft limit reached" used to appear.
Now there is only this little message (see picture) but no Message Box anymore.
