You either need an M5 before the M6 (preferred method), or have the M6 macro stop your spindle. Dan's plugin has nothing to do with tool changes.

If it does not crashes on startup then please also test that if you clicking on the slider bar to change it's value a few time to see if it crashes then or not?
To stop the spindle I have to manually start it using the button on the screen then stop it again

It is clear now how the problem happens and the funny thing is that it is not a problem in the UCCNC, but somekind of strange bug probably in the OpenTK library or maybe in your video card drivers.
Anyways I have found the workaround for the problem.
Will send you one more exe to test, but can do that only in the late afternoon today and if that will also work then I'll keep it like that.
