AutoCAD has many different CAD programs.
You could argue that Fusion 360 is actually more of a full featured CAD program, with integrated CAM.
It's really equal parts CAD and CAM.

I've just found out that we have a copy of Fusion 360 somewhere here. So I'll have a play with it when I get some free time :)

Just a quick update. Thanks guys for the info re fusion 360. I found our copy and imported a model from inventor( I couldn't get on with modelling in Fusion) and generated a cutter path and post processed to generate the G code. Loaded to CNC and ran it. It worked really well. I used the pre installed post processor for the Denford CNC, I don't know what's wrong, the post processor or the machine or me. I had to edit the start and end of the Program as it would have done some undesirable things, such as taking a wander -50mm into the machine bed. I'm not that clues up on scripting(if that is what is required for a more refined post processed Program).
It's useable though as it is, as we aren't a mass production setup.

Are you using the latest post processor ? maybe there's been some changes since the original.

Probably not, prior to me, I don't think anyone has touched the machine for years! I'll check.....

i converted a denford mill ( triac) to uccnc
absolutely superb machine now. uccnc was definately the best choice especially with the tool changer etc.

here is a video of it making a baby dragon as its first 3d test. code was produced in aspire (but i have a good working fusion post too)
