Any good but not crazy expensive ATC spindles?

Postby Gadget » Thu Jan 04, 2018 8:50 pm

Have been looking for a while but having trouble finding any atc spindles other than chinese at a decent cost.
The iSA900 (isel) from sorotec is a good price but the tool holders are odd and crazy expensive.

It was as good as the data you gave.
"Crazy expensive" is pretty subjective.

If you don't want chinese, they start at around $5000-$6000US, with toolholders being in the $125-$150 range.

There are lots of options that does not cost $6000 and the spindles you refer to are way too big.
The iSA900 I mentioned is only €1600 but as I said, the tool holders are odd and expensive. Other spindles with atc are Usovo, Mechatron, Elte etc and they are all way less than $6000.
Anyone else want to contribute, maybe I missed some brand/model that might be worth considering!?

Most small parts only kits start at $5500, $1000 less if going user purchased Chinese spindle
Here is a US made 3hp version with 6 tools & TLM on a 24" wide table showing many of these features: https://youtu.be/qtzkAExTA00

One mans "crazy expensive" is anothers "what a bargain, can't believe I didnt do this 5 years ago!"
