CNC Room just told me they are having their prototype PCB's made for their new UB1 breakout board.
It'll have similar specs to the MB2, but the UC300ETH will plug right into the board, so no 5LPT motherboard or ribbon cables required.

-15mm taller than MB2. but same width.
- 2 none-isolated analog input, 5v and 10v tolerant select able .
- 2 isolated analog outputs. they are 2 PWM channels of UC300ETH.
- 3 relays.
- 8 inputs safety circuit.
- There are 5V isolated inputs for TTL device as well. The users can hook up low voltage MPG.
- All 5 LPT ports and pins accessible. 3 isolated ports, same as MB2. 2 non-isolate ports, as extended header .

Hi Gerry,

Thats nice, thank you for the news.
It looks more like a motherboard than a breakout board, but ofcourse it is just semantics. :)

It's both.

I just thought of something? Will you guys be adding support for this in UCCNC? I guess it will need it's own Diagnostics page, and screenset?

We were not asked for a custom motherboard identifier for this board, so I'm sure the CNCroom guys used one of the already made identifier for the board, maybe the -5LPT or the M44, M45 etc. and then the board will be identified as one of those and then the screenset for that and the pinout for that board will be loaded.

Anybody know if it will be 24v? (like the other boards appear to be?)

Yes, it should be.

Any idea when it'll start shipping? I just received my MB2 this week along with a UC300ETH...

The first prototype PCB's are being made now. Probably two weeks or more before he can even see if they work. If all goes well, maybe a few months? If there are problems, probably longer.
I really have no idea , but I wouldn't expect to see anything for at least 3-4 months.

Hi Gerry

One thing I noticed during my ATC adventures and even as recently as adding something to my bridgeport was pneumatic solenoid valves caused me the most problems. They trigger estops. This is with CNC4PC stuff as well as Pokeys gear. You may want to pass that along to them. I have 2 C62 boards from CNC4PC 1 revision number apart. my control relays are on a separate board from CNC4PC connected to a M44 . I added an air cylinder to lock the spindle for tool changes. I ran it for a couple of months without any issues. I upgraded the C62 to a newer revision and the valve started triggering estops when it released. Went back to the earlier board and I have no issues. I ran into similar issues with my alliant.

I know you are not officially connected with them but I figured you could get that info to the right people so they can do proper testing.
