UC300 5V Analog output voltage

Postby Delco » Mon Oct 30, 2023 1:33 am

On the UC300 is there any mechanical way to limit the analogue output voltage to 5V max like on the AXBB-e
or is the only option to limit the PWM max duty to 50% and set the max spindle velocity to double the required max speed?

So if my actual max spindle speed at 5V is 3000rpm , I would set the max velocity to 6000rpm and the PWM max to 50%

No, but you can build a voltage divider using two resistors or a potentiometer.

Why do you have to set the velocity to double?
I had a VFD set to 0-5V, and just set the PWM to 50%, with the correct RPM, and it worked fine.

I assumed to calibrate the rpm , 100% PWM is max spindle rpm ?

No, I believe the PWM duty corresponds to the spindle velocity.
Max PWM is the output at max spindle velocity.
If you set max velocity to 3000, and max pwm to 50%, you'll get 5v at 3000 rpm.
