Don't understand any of them to be honest, will just keep searching, im sure someone must have the same vfd and uses for a spindle lol

Nope they no good, also think my spindle is knackered as it only turns very slow an then I get error 1 all the time.

Spindle not faulty , got it to move to the 24000 but the spindle doesn't start till it reaches 9000, will try and figure that out tomorrow. What I did was I reset the VFD to defaults and I altered po3 po6 p34 and p42 and every time I got an error 1 I altered one or 2 of the 4 settings and kept doing that every time I got an error 1 till I reached 4032 revs. The spindle still doesn't start in UCCNC when i start a program, but hopefully will sort that. Main thing is i got the spindle moving to the right speed of 24000 but now got to work out why it only starts from 9000, this is all done from controller but when I used UCCNC to try it i changed p010 and po11 and then i had to adjust the speed manually, would like it to start automatically each time I do a cut. But finally we are getting there.

Been busy.
Glad to hear you're getting somewhere.
Starting at 9000rpm isn't 'bad'.
What you need to bear in mind is whenever I see these cheapish spindles they generally say 'don't run it below 8000rpm'. They overheat and die. So in effect you are now prevented from making that mistake.

The relay itself turns on with M3 command yes?.
May be another peramiter for external control related to direction. Or a peramiter that swaps default direction which could explain why fwd ran the wrong way before.

HI, yes m3 command makes it move, will have another look through manual and see if its a parameter to change things about.

Sorted direction out, just changed 2 wires round in spindle connection going to vfd, also now works from UCCNC, Ordered new 1.5kw spindle as this one doesn't sound too good. Need a diagram please on how I wire E-stop and Probe.

Hi all,
Sorted e-stop and probe , so decided to give a test run....Started up well but once it het the material it dragged and the spindle stopped as if it didn't have enough power to cut. Any ideas much appreciated.

Hi all.
I am just upgrading my cnc router to an AXBB-e from a couple of breakout boards and a spindle board. I am just a little confused over the use or not of a spindle relay. to the vfd. The original setup used a spindle board (opto isolated Digital to Analogue convertor) which had 2 relays relay for the spindle and Coolant. I am using a Huanyang 2.2Kw vfd. In the AXBB instructions it does not use a relay for the VFD and yet I see on the forum people say you should use a relay. Obviously I need a relay for the Coolant pump but should I use a relay for the vfd? Is it purely for the isolation?
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Paul.

Simple answer.
The wiring diagram in the instructions is connected to a vfd that has 24vdc circuits the same as the axbb-e.
Just search the drive model in the diagram.
So 24v cnc control connected to 24v drive control directly is perfectly matched. (as long as you have it in the correct polarity).

Many Chinese drives consist of 12v circuits. This is where the recommendation of a relay comes into play.
A 24v cnc control connected to a 12v drive control directly is not as compatible and any kind of issue could lead to damage.

I always recommend the use of a relay because the 2 control parts cnc/drive are always isolated, thus avoiding a faulty control from damaging another.
