AXBB-E ethernet connection

Hi, I'm not having much luck at connecting to the network! I've followed all the instructions for the AXBB-E i.e.
ip address 10.10.10.10
subnet mask 255.255.255.0

when I ping from the cmd prompt I get a valid return, but when I use the util tool, it doesn't detect the AXBB-E although the blue led light does flicker once on as I run the util

help please?

I haven't connected the 24v supply, just the 5v

also, I haven't received an email with the passkey from Cncdrive yet. could this be the problem?
I can't see why the hardware wouldn't work without Uccnc running?

thanks

Pinging 10.10.10.10 just shows that the ethernet adapter is setup correctly as the computer is just pinging itself.

Are you using either a crossover cable or switch/router?

Hi Skrap,

I've tried using a crossed cable direct from the pc to axbb,
I've also tried going via the router using normal cables

I've tried using a different pc (both pc's running windows 10 with net 3.5 enabled)

I've tried resetting the axbb

but not getting the blue light on, it just flashes once when I use the UCxxx utility

You need the latest UCCNC development release for the AXBB-E controller.
From the pictures you uploaded I can tell that you using an older version which will not work with the AXBB-E.
The direct download link: http://www.cncdrive.com/UCCNC/get_devUCCNC.php

And you pinging the network adapter (10.10.10.10.), the IP of the AXBB-E is 10.10.10.11. by default.

The blue LED flashes once when the AXBB-E receives the broadcast message from the PC which the Utility tool sends to explore the devices.

I thought that I was going mad!
but this is the version that still is on the site today,

Do I still need a license key with the new axbb?
will that be emailed to me?

Roll down that webpage, the download link is there.
Yes, ofcourse you need a license key if you want to use the UCCNC with any of our motion controllers including the AXBB-E.

I bought the AXBB & license only recently, there wasn't anything else in the box

License keys are emailed with our licensing software, usually on shipping date, sometimes with a little delay.
