UC300ETH Analog Input HowTo

Postby skylord73 » Tue May 01, 2018 11:51 am

Hi All,
I'm building a controller for my new 5Axis CNC, and now is Pendant Time!

I'need to use the two analog input on the remote that is 3mt far from the board and I don't want noise issues.
The cable will be of course shielded, but to avoid problems I' would like to use the max current allowed.
Can you suggest the best potentiometer resistance to use?
The max current allowed to the 12V power source?

Any suggestion is of course welcome!

Regards

You have the -5LPT motherboard, correct?
On the -5LPT motherboard the 12V power comes from an onboard 5V to 12V step-up converter. The current limit for the converter is set to 50mAmps, so that is the max current you can pull from it.
If you will try to pull more current then the converter circuit will go to current limiting and will drop the voltage level.
