"Documents and settings" is a link only, it was a folder in XP, but time flies... However, I'll check if I can do anything to use hard links and network drives. (I can't remember if I've ever tested with network drives.)

Any chance of looking at this Deszoe?

It would be useful to browse network drives.

Ps, I cannot seem to get it to show drive c it is locked on d which is a data drive installed in the PC, not one where the g code files are stored and if i create a shortcut in drive d to the folder where g code files are it loads text data of the shortcut link it doesn't open the link.

OK, I fixed some issues. The symlink folders do not appear now. The network drives worked, there was nothing to do with them, but you cannot browse the network.

This download works for UCCNC 1.2113 to 1.2115.

I've replaced both existing .dll files in each version I have installed, when clicking on drives it still pops up the error window followed by the do you want to cloase window.

Also happens when I click refresh.

Is the drive that you click a real drive? I've tested with local and network drives and it works fine here.

You get the error message from GetVolumeLabel (part of .Net, not my code). I couldn't find out what I see on the screenshots: there is a dot below the error message. Try to rename your drive: there may be a special character in its name.

Yes it is a real drive with nothing special about my drive names, I am using windows 11 though, you maybe still on windows 10 ?

If I click continue on the error message then you can see the drive is acessible.

I assume that you didn't try to rename the drive, despite it could have helped a lot. So now I made a version which shows only a question mark instead of the volume label if it cannot be read. The download links are the same. Which drive gets the question mark?

Interesting, is it the dvd drive that is causing it?

Yes, clicking on G causes the crash.

Note, this drive wasn't showing until your new version yet it was physical present.

Ahha! It didn't show up, because of the exception. Now that I handle it you get the "?" and the drive shows on the list. Hm. It was so many years ago when I had a CD/DVD the last time... OK, I need to handle this problem, thanks for the info.
