In 2017, RPM = Sact, and should be 2451 (Overridden Speed)
S: = Sset, and can be left at 869.

This is for HY12, but I'd expect HY14 to be the same, though I haven't tried it yet.

2466 is what I assume is a field he created within HY14 to read RPM from VFD and display in 2017 screenset Sact(870) and changed Sset field(869) to 2451 to set rpm in VFD. This works also.

Hi Dan911,

I installed your plugin today and it works great! Thanks for your hard work.

Thank you for this plugin. Of all the things I've dealt with of late, this was far and away the easiest to get working.

Hi Dan911,
just a few words to thank you for your work. After a few years running Mach3, i installed UCCNC and your HY14 plugin. Had a few stupid (and long time wasting) issues like not reading instructions, so not showingthe window at startup, so not hitting the connect button and wondering why it doesn't work ...
Another issue i had was that i could not get the speed i wanted: whatever the speed i was typing in CMD, the spindle was always running 2880rpm. The problem was i had forgotten to hit the enter button when i entered the max(24000) rpm value in spindle setup so the plugin was always using that previous value of 2880 than was in before.....
N°1 UCCNC rule : Hit Enter button !
But everything works fine now, many thanks to you ! :D

Ok, I'm going to sound quite ignorant here, but what advantages are there to using the modbus plugin for controlling the VFD over using a 0-10v feed?
Is it worth the upgrade? and if so, can i use a ethernet adaptor to run this? I ask because I'm using a UC300eth and it seems pointless then using USB with the chance of picking up noise.

Thanks.

1) It's easier to wire up. Just one small 2 conductor cable from VFD to adapter.
2) In my case, when using 0-10V with my Huanyang VFD, RPM would gradually ramp up and down ±1000 rpm, roughly every 30 seconds. Others have had this issue as well. Some solved it with capacitors. The capacitors made it better, but the issue was still there. With the plugin, I can specify RPM to within 1 rpm, and it's rock steady.

I do still use a relay for start and stop, and just use the plugin for RPM.

Thanks Gerry. So since mine has been working perfectly for 2 years i'll just leave it alone.

Incidentally, I had an issue with the RPM "hunting" when I first setup my machine about 4000 rpm fluctuation, I changed the PWM frequency to 5000 and it it's been spot on ever since.

My Analog voltage was rock solid, so PWM frequency wasn't the issue.

So what is the 14net2 plugin for? Is that the latest or use just 14?
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just update the first post in this thread with the latest version and instructions?

Works great for me , omly issue is sometimes it doeswnt shut the spindle off at the end of a job . UCCNC sees it as off but spindle is still going .
To turn it off I need to activate spindle then deactivate again.
