Finally got a chance to install the latest version - MAGIC.

Motion on the Z is superb. Very smooth and I can creep a 'thou at a time with no jumping. The trigger safeties are awesome, especially for clumsy me.

Having the keyboard jog enabled would be nice, but now that the controller is so sweet it seems a bit superfluous.

Thanks again so much for your work.

Thanks for the feedback, and catching my error on the right stick :)
I intend to correct the jog button 'lock out', I know what is wrong, just no time to work on it.

Has anyone used this with a wireless controller? I don't currently have any game controllers so want to make sure I buy one that works well.

Thanks for writing this plugin, I'll be testing it soon.

Hi Ed,
I can only confirm that I've tested with a wired xbox controller . I'd presume it will work with an actual MS wireless xbox controller, but I can't guarantee it.

Eric

I gave up trying to find the wireless XB360 with receiver. I know they can be purchased on eBay, but was hoping to find something local. Ended up getting a wired clone from Walmart for $19.77, make is PowerA. Seems to work as expected although I haven't spent much time with it yet. I'm running UCCNC on a Windows XP box and drivers for the controller downloaded automatically when it was plugged in.

Thanks Eric, for taking the time to create this plugin!

Just a quick update on my experience with the XBox 360 plugin. Everything has worked as expected and motion is smooth and easily controlled. The only issue I have come across is with programming a button to execute the park macros. The screen buttons work as expected, but the programmed XBox buttons do not. I suspect the problem is related to my use of the 2017 screenset and not with the plugin. Gerry probably wrote his own macros for that as he provides for setting the park locations from within the program. Other than that one problem, the plugin works great!

Thanks again,
Ed

It's possible that I'm wrong, but I think you have to install DirectX for SlimDX to work.
MAybe the issue is that the required DirectX version is not installed or is broken.
I would try to reinstall DirectX to see if it resolves the issue.
