Dan,

I had UCCNC windowed, there was never anything behind main program (I looked - often)

Never knew that that CALL STARTUP was needed, as I was getting the appropriate prompts.
Even though it was in your documentation: 3. Locate HYPLUGIN8 and check boxes "Call startup" and "Enabled".

As a double check, I loaded the 8.1 DLL.
I am pleased to report that the SPINDLE is rotating under your VFD driver!!!!! :D

Dan, the 911 part of your name is so true.

So it was a PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) error.

Gordon.

Once I seen Call start wasn't checked and realized this was the problem I just briefly looked at your dump file. It had repeated strings being sent so I assumed you were getting
that window. After taking another look the repeated sends was do to the 0 frequency and a check with the Sact field not matching. This wouldn't generate that window.

Glad you got It going and yes just use the 8.1 version.

Dan

Some issues were reported and were fixed, list below.

1. Some with non US windows may have experienced problems.

2. If user mistakenly inputs improper characters in the Min and Max RPM text boxes it could cause it to corrupt the UCCNC Pro file.

HYPLUGIN9.4 Can be found with link below.

Hi Dan,

I have a weird problem. I installed the Huanyang RS-485 plugin (v9.4) and it commuicates fine with the VFD. Everything is set correctly on the VFD. In the plugin, the settings are set to max frequency 400Hz and max speed 24000 RPM. Now, if I type in M3 S8000, it goes to 8000. If I type in M3 S12000 (and anything above that), it limits me to 11880 RPM. The VFD shows 198Hz, which makes sense.

If I go to the Spindle setup page, the min RPM is 6000 as desired, but the max speed is set to 11880. I can't change that value.

What could be the issue?

Thank you

Hi QuebecCNC,

When I first read your post I thought the only possible case could be is what I posted above, after taking a look this is NOT the case and all is well within the plugin. I been testing the 9.4 plugin and couldn't repeat your problem. Please check your min and max rpm within UCCNC (CONFIGURATION/AXIS SETUP/SPINDLE) and confirm your min and max rpm is the same as inputted in the HYPLUGIN min, max textboxes. Also check to make sure you don't have the pulley system checkbox checked.

Please let me know your outcome.

Dan

P.S I think TP is going to make me eat my words...lol

QuebecCNC, I forgot to mention the most important check. In the HYPLUGIN9.4 configure window when you enter your values for min(6000), max(24000), and frequency(400) in boxes, once you press the "Calculate" button you should receive a message window with these saved values and that you need to restart UCCNC. What does these values read?

Please follow the step by step instructions included with HYPLUGIN, a restart is necessary after any changed inputs in the HYPLUGIN configure window.

Hi Dan,

I did all that. The calculate window reads 6000, 24000 and 400 correctly. I always restarted the software after.

However, the Spindle page shows 11880 as max. 6000 as min. No pulleys.
