multiple encoders as MPGs

It would be helpful to allow multiple encoders to act as MPGs. For instance three encoders mounted on a small box (perhaps with other controls and indicators) to approximate the X, Y and Z handwheels on a manual milling machine.

UCCNC only has 1 MPG channel so not sure how that would work out. I don't know anyone that has tried it yet.

Yes, I'm sure it could be done with a USB device, but I was really hoping to not have to add to my endless list of things to do when I retire (coming soon, gradually).
I'm just getting into UCCNC, but it would appear that there are encoder inputs - and if those encoders can be made to update a DRO, then a macro loop ought to be able to translate those DROs to motion control. Maybe. I have barely scratched the documentation, but it seems like something that ought to be possible. This kind of interfacing is right in my wheelhouse, it's just a matter of finding the time to do it.
