Laser pointer Offset

Postby bbegent » Wed Jan 18, 2017 11:32 pm

I have a laser crosshair pointer mounted to my z axis. I read the macro rules but still unclear on one thing. I currently have the macro for Laser offset like this : 1st I jog to set laser point on desired center of work. 2nd I zero my X & Y DRO, 3rd I press Park2 buttom with I have programed to move in X & Y directions the desired laser offset dimensions. 4th I zero X & Y DRO again .

The issue is the repeated DRO zeroing as this leads to high chance of operator error. Can someone help me included these DRO zeroing into the macro? I hope this picture helps explain my setup.

So router moves to offset position . But DRO reads this offset position. Can macros then change X & Y DRO to become 0,0 postion?
