Auto probing Z under processing

Postby livinico » Wed Feb 09, 2022 11:08 pm

Hi, I apologize for the question, probably already asked, I am a beginner with this software and I ask for your help. I would like to have a macro that at the request of a tool change would perform a reset in the probe and start the machining again. Let me explain, I already have a tool path, at the request of the tool change I change it manually, after changing it I would like to reset it in a fixed probe (programming the coordinates of the fixed probe) update the z coordinate and then restart the machining with the new tool at the right altitude so as not to lose the work done up to that moment. It's possible? I thank those who will help me and I will be very grateful.

Hello, Livinico.
You can write a M6 macro that will measure the new tool and make a new offset along the Z axis.
I apply the simplest example that will work with a tool sensor in the form of a plate put under the cutter. I added a bunch of explanations into the code, so I hope you will simply adapt it to your machine.
Also in the program settings, you need to select the reaction to the M6 command how to "execute the M6 script.

My English is bad, so you're reading machine translation results. Alas.

Hello fixebr, thank you very much for your sharing, I will try to interpret your writings and modify them according to my machine so that I can adapt it to the needs. I hope I can get this new machine running smoothly. Forgive me, but I would like to do many things, but I don't have the right knowledge in this controller yet. Thanks again for now.
Regards :D
